Attorney Semmes Bobo is a native Memphian. Prior to returning to Memphis in 2021, Semmes lived and worked in Hawaii for 5 years.
After earning her undergraduate degree from the University of Mississippi, Semmes went on to earn her juris doctor from the University of Mississippi School Of Law, where she graduated cum laude in 2014. During law school, she served on the Law School Student Body Executive Board and as the Vice President of the American Constitution Society. Semmes also worked as a Guardian ad Litem for the law school’s Child Advocacy Clinic. She is licensed to practice law in Tennessee, Mississippi and Hawaii.
Her prior law experience includes practicing as an associate at Rushing & Guice, LLC, a business litigation firm on the Mississippi Gulf Coast; and practicing family law as an associate attorney for Christopher D. Thomas, ALC in Honolulu. In her new role at Shea Moskovitz & McGhee, her practice will focus exclusively on family law matters including divorce, custody, child support and related legal issues.
When she’s not working, Semmes enjoys reading, walking and spending time with her family and friends, including her husband, Trevor and their two-year-old daughter, Cecelia.
